AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS
Grayshott Books opened at midnight on Saturday 21 July to allow
Harry Potter Fans to collect their copies of the seventh and
final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
By the time the doors opened at a minute past midnight, the
queue stretched across The Square in Grayshott. Some had even
turned up in fancy dress in honour of the special occasion.
Julie Stevens said “We are thrilled that so many people have
turned up at midnight. It is a real party atmosphere!”
The bookshop opening had been preceded by a showing of Harry
Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by Movies in Grayshott at the
village hall. The fancy dress theme was also in evidence at this
event, which members of the audience donning wizards and witches
costumes for the evening. The children’s fancy dress competition
was won by Matthew & Helena Marks with Vivien & Peter Harrison
winning the adult categories.

About Movies in Grayshott
Movies in Grayshott is a not-for profit organisation, run by
local volunteers. We aim to show the best in recent feature
films of all types, usually several months after the films have
been initially released in the cinemas.
The films will be shown at the Grayshott Village Hall, providing
an opportunity for residents of Grayshott and the surrounding
areas to make use of the village hall, with its licensed bar,
and enjoy a film in the company of friends and family.
